Vintage Taylor Gydeway Bakelite Compass with document ca: 9/1939

This compass was found in the drawer of an antique dresser I purchased, and appears to have seen little use. It is in what appears to be the original box which includes a typewritten description of the history and function of compasses, as well as the manufacturer of this particular compass. It is dated 9/39

Box: Cardboard
Really beautifully weathered paper document

Primitive/Make-do Pine Vanity ca. 1930-1945 SOLD

Sturdy and practical, this one of a kind, hand made vanity has a rich, dark stain that belies the fact that it was made from inexpensive pine. It is in good condition, but has some wear consistent with it's age. The light sockets are all functional, and are controlled by an art deco light switch that is mounted inside the box.

Materials: Legs, lid and box are made of pine
Light sockets are ceramic
Mirror is glass

Height: 36 inches
Width: 24 inches
Depth: 20 inches
